Sacai was established by Chitose Abe in 1999 in Tokyo, Japan. 

Sacai incorporates the idea of hybridization through juxtapositions of contrasting textures of fabrics and reinterpretations of patterns of the garment, transforming the pieces into unexpected shapes and silhouettes.
